About Us

Since 1994, Owner's Nina and Jeff Kidd have been providing biological consulting services throughout the western U.S. to individuals, developers, municipalities, utility companies and government agencies. We provide other consulting firms, both small and large as well as local and federal agencies with qualified experts  for specialized surveys, research and monitoring.

Our team of full-time staff and contract biologists strive to complete your surveys, reports, research or development projects on time, within budget and in compliance with all federal and state laws while providing a professional final product.
A Humboldt State University Graduate, Nina has been working in the consulting industry since 2000, assisting in biological resource impact analyses for large and small developers, municipalities, County and Federal agencies.  Prior to becoming a consultant, Nina worked in natural history and zoological museums as a curator and educator. She is key in choosing projects which best fit our company's standards and ethics while being able to provide our clients the best service possible.
Since 1993 Jeff has been conducting raptor research and biological consulting services throughout California, the southwestern U.S. and more recently Scandinavia. While serving as one of our principal biologsts he manages our largest mulit-million dollar projects and serves as our CFO. He maintains federal and state permits for toads, butterflies, small birds and raptors including golden eagels, Swainson's hawks and burrowing owls.

Our full-time staff of senior-level biologists serve as project managers for a variety of projects from small focused surveys to long term multi-million dollar projects. Each brings over 10 years prior experience in the industry as sole-proprietors and/or employees of medium to large consulting firms. Each supports a variety of federal and state permits that authorize take of species, including but not limited to, vernal pool invertebrates, butterflies, herptefauna, small mammals, and birds.
